Pool Closing/Winterize
Done swimming for the year? We can get your pool closed and your equipment ready to take on winter.
● Net the pool of any debris and leaves if pool is currently on a weekly maintenance program
● Empty skimmer baskets and pump basket of debris
● Drain water below skimmer line for tile freeze protection on plaster pools
● Remove any return jets in pool
● Blow all water out of suction, return and cleaner (if applicable) lines
● Plug return lines for the pool, water features and cleaners as necessary and ensure main drain line clear of water and air-tight
● Remove all drain plugs from pumps and filter
● Add enzyme treatment for pool water treatment while equipment is winterized
● Remove time tabs for rotary-style pool timers (if applicable)
● Turn breaker(s) off to equipment
● Turn off gas for gas heater (if applicable)
● Install cover if supplied by homeowner
